Thom Yorke has actually explained the meaning of this song in an interview. It's about a highly narcissistic friend he once had who kept ruining his social relationships because everyone thought he was such a jerk. Hence, "you do it to yourself, you do". Also, "one day he'll get to you / and teach you how to be a holy cow" shows how self righteous the guy is - it all makes sense. |
