I might get lynched for this, but, I like the Mayer version better than the Hendrix version. Hendrix may have invented alot of the moder guitar licks and that Blue/Rock sound -- don't get me wrong the guy was a total genius -- but people like Stevie Ray Vaughan (RIP) and John Mayer have totally perfected the sound and made it much more listenable. |

I love this song, It's a real trip to listen to. I think the meaning of this song is so specific that it can only apply to one person (the guy who wrote it). I'm not trashing the song i still love it, but i can't really aply it to me..........or anyone else. It's more of a story song. I like story songs. |

I think I heard these guys explain it to a crowd of people one time so I’m gonna try my best to remember.........ok......"Zuigia" is fictional place (that they created) that is perfect. (basically your dream). And it’s a place will no one will ever judge you on how you look or think you're crazy because of how you act. So basically let's all move to Zuigia (our fictional perfect island) and never worry about anything every again. I love this song so much, I cried when I first heard it because I’m a “freak” and the thought of having a place to go where I’m not made fun of was a very new concept. |

When he says "Spare your life and leave me to my misery.....get off the cross and save your self run away it will be ok" he is refering to JESUS dying on the cross for him and his sins.......thats how i percieve this song but i know the rest of the world does not see i to eye with me |
