hey guys, i know im not really offering any input as to the meaning, but regardless, check it out.
my old band did a cover of demon(s) and its pretty good except a few parts arent lined up. im in a new band, but as a drummer, this song is amazing. i love it. ive been playing the song for ab out 2 years and finally got it recorded which is pretty cool.
im an ex junkie and i see how this can relate to all things addiction. sometimes ill listen to it incessantly when i get in "that mood" |

i am not sure what this one means. all of their titles on "earth" seem to relate to the musical structure and overall sound of the song. in other words, the titles are as essential to the music as the music itself. that is why this title is so confusing. on "six days....", throughout the whole song i feel like i am lying at the bottom of a coral reef looking up at the azure sky and it is beautiful. this one...its just an emotional release with little visual association as with the others.
however, any musician out there knows that certain songs stir you up when you nail a good segment of the notes or when you play the song super well. i tend to blast my huge sennheiser headphones and play the drums to this song. the part at 4:28 is just so much fun to play loud as hell after you have been patiently building up the toms and ride cymbal. its so beautiful how simple it is, from a musicians standpoint, yet so moving. i guess that is why i like to play it so much. just....an amazing fucking song. sorry for the rant. |

first off..claudio sanchez is singing about fiction. none of his songs have anything to do with reality and they are based on his comic book things. but like..i really could care less about the lyrics. his voice is absolutely crazy. i saw a thing on mtv2 about why he sings in such a high tone. its cuz he grew up listeing to female singers. i think he said something about the fact that his mom was a diva of some sort. anywho...morbid...no. these topics are pretty cool if u can actually relate them to the future and space and those things.
great band. oh yea..claudio not only sings with his crazy voice..but also plays lead guitar. thats one hell of a talent |

sorry um for that shit meaning i came up wiht. i screwed it up and didnt htink about it for long enough..so here you all:
1. catharsis-A technique used to relieve tension and anxiety by bringing repressed feelings and fears to consciousness
2. cyanide-Any of various salts or esters of hydrogen cyanide containing a CN group, especially the extremely poisonous compounds potassium cyanide and sodium cyanide.(found in rat poison)
Well since the title is "my cyanide catharsis", and given the definitions above and the lyrics, i have to say that it is about the fact that he is in pain, and it is extremely painful for him to realize what has happened. he is really depressed and feels he will never get out. for awhile he could hide it, but now everyone knows. his ex is the source of his pain, and when he looks into her pictures, he realizes that he never should have entered this relationship as said in, " your eyes, reflect my regrets".
It seems to me that he hurts himself physically to feel "something real".
"I turn my back for one last time" shows that he is killing himself and when 'i fall asleep inside your arms' is when he sees that she has takn him over
then again, i could be totally wrong.

since he is constantly talking about the horizon and hourglass in the sattelite years, i think this song has to do with(and maybe the whole cd) stepping down from being the big man or the popular kid and constantly not having friends so you just sit locked in your room..."with all this time to kill". and the tilting of the hourglass means that it will never end; the hourglass will keep turning. |

this is without a doubt hopesfall's best song to date. the guitar in the begining and the verse is crazy i got the tabs for it but i cant play it nearly as good. i wish more people liked hopesfalls stuff. this isnt that bullshit that britney spears comes out with talking about how shes not quite a woman, but not still a girl. i wish she would drop dead right now.

new hopesfall definately does not suck. the first song i heard off this cd was the bending. then escape pod for intangibles. at first i hated it but now i truly apreciate it. you just need to listen to it more.
as for the new singer, he sounds alot like doug did, but uses more talking and less screaming.
