when i was little i used to have this piano, and you pressed the buttons and there were beats and everything...i probably sound really weird saying this unless you know what i'm talking about but the beat machine in the beginning sounds exactly like one of the beats in the little piano.

nobody is more punk than anyone else, except for people who don't want to be punk. so everyone stop accusing people of being posers, you nor i are any better. punk is the ideas behind the music. stating your mind, doing as you wish, and not conforming to the american normal. its different for everyone because everyone is different, but the idea of doing as you like and not living up to the standards of others is what i see as being punk. the music is a huge part of it. music is a huge way of expression. its not an image by any means. if someone wants to dress in a shirt and tie, and does it simply cuz he likes it, i see that as much more "punk" than a guy dressing in a leather jacket with pins all through it just cause he thinks thats what punks should look like. be open minded, but dont always buy into what someone else says either. think about whats being said to you. can you all honestly say that you're the model punk whom everyone must look up to? no, so stop fucking being hypocritical. i can see both sides but geez, just appreciate the music. close the punk rock rulebook, like 88 fingers louie says.
ok thats all, now i bet theres gonna be 238491324 people replying and bitching that i'm wrong, blah blah blah. i almost regret posting this. but oh well. |
