|Katy Perry – Ur So Gay Lyrics||8 years ago|
this song is clearly not meant to be serious. the title even shows that...by spelling You're as ur, katy set the tone to be not serious.
Keep in mind that 4 songs earlier on the cd is "I kissed a girl". She clearly has no problem with gay people.
if she did, this song would be serious, and honestly, if she did, i'm sure she wouldn't write a song about it. that would be discrimination...like if she wrote a song about how she hates hispanics or blacks? that wouldn't go over well. so don't take the song seriously..if you're a gay guy, admit that many gay guys are more feminine than straight guys, and get a laugh out of the song. she's not implying that gays are any less of people than straights...
haha i love this cd bc it is so anti-man =P
|Paramore – Pressure Lyrics||8 years ago|
I think that this song is about a relationship with a friend. The two friends decide to take it past friendship because they are mutually attracted to eachother, but once they get there, they decide that it will not work, or that they are uncomfortable.
"I can feel the pressure, it's getting closer now, we're better off without you"
I think that she's saying I'm starting to feel the pressure of this relationship and we (her and her friend) are better off without you (love/past friends status)
"Some things I'll never know
And I had to let them go
I'm sitting all alone
Some things=whether the relationship would work or not/what it would be like/etc.
She had sacrifice knowing these things, though, to keep the friendship. But even though she knows it's better this way, she still feels empty and alone.
Make sense? haha definitely prolly not what the song's ACTUALLY about, but it's my take on it =)
