I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to imagine this song could be Neil Young’s description of ptsd before there was an official label for it. I imagine the protagonist is a kid, fresh home from the Vietnam conflict but not really psychologically in a safe place yet. So when he sees an unfamiliar boat coming up the river near his home he’s back in a defensive state and reacts as if he’s still at war, shooting at the boat. The last verse could relate to the possibility of reprisal, spending the next decades of his...

Reading the lyrics, I think It's about a baby who is being born. In the bridge, the lyrics read "Pictures replaying of your fragile limbs" After the bridge, the chorus is the same, but with "you" instead of "who" After reading that, I realized that most of the song is probably an allegory, and the final chorus refers to us and God: "You will catch me when the engines fail. You’ll protect me when the train’s derailed. You’ll revive me when my oxygen ceases. You’ll provide me with a new heartbeat."

It's a song about how the devil slowly destroys our lives. In the beginning of the song, he appears innocent, but later he exposes himself.

I joined your ranks of sons and daughters. The army of the slaves" It makes even more sense when you read the following lyrics: "Freedom now remains. One headshot away. Burn you down to make our great escape." Also, the following lyrics: "Worship is worthless. Till we drain our purses. With sanity checked at the door. Reason is useless and what is it for?" are a...

Great number!!! A cover of Jackie Brenston which was itself a cover of Cadillac Boogie with the lyrics changed for Oldsmobile.

is this song about Shrek? about me? I've always liked it thought. I tend to keep people at a distance, for reasons.

Dar got the idea for this song after 9/11 (although it took her 10 years to write). The monkey in the song refers to Curious George, and the turtle and frog are Frog & Toad.

This song makes me think of Jefferey Epstein 💀 In fact, it was released in 2005, the year before he got arrested.
