Randy Goffe is an American electronic musician and producer from Punta Gorda, Florida, who now resides in Chicago, better known by his stage name HOME. He first achieved popularity with his song "Resonance", off his debut full-length album Odyssey. The song was posted to YouTube, where it was associated with the Vaporwave scene. The album was described as a "mix of 80s synths, resonating bass, and pulsing drums [that worked] well together resulting in relaxing yet moving tracks."
Goffe has described his songs as "experiments", saying "I rarely start a song with the actual music in mind, I play with synths and drum samples trying to make or emulate cool sounds, and usually the musical ideas come from that." He has been influenced and compared to artists like Tycho, Washed Out and Com Truise.
