Clayfield were a band from Bristol, England. Originally a garage project consisting of Steven John (guitar) James Skuse (bass) and Jason Millard (drums), they were joined by Ross Maidment (vocals/guitar) around 2004. Clayfield found themselves ironically wedged between the two Bristol scenes of post-metal and shoegaze; leading some critics to believe that 'they in fact had an original sound'. Although they spent brief periods in the studio, they made their most significant impact at a number of memorable live shows in the city.
