The Busy World was formed in Chapel Hill in 2005 by Andrew Hunt (currently of Snowship) and Mark Mowbray (currently of Gaijin Army and the Cherry Boys), both playing guitar and singing. Andy Busam (also currently of Snowship) played bass and Paul Nicholas played drums while Dave Mize filled in all the cracks on accordion.
After years of trying to get it right, the Busy World released 50 copies of Large Bodies of Water in 2009, which stands as their only real contribution to recorded music. The band members immediately and literally went their separate ways, sending the Busy World on indefinite hiatus, but playing a wedding here and a reunion show there when they're all in one place together.
