In late 2010 singer and songwriter Anthony Dimech founded the vision and rising ambition to form a music group based on his first lyrical writings of inner self discovery and aspirational contemplation. The first song written was 'Oracle' which entails a personal visual inner look of a journey aiming towards a place through ideation symbolised as a healing sanctuary or temple, to find spiritual clarity and to ask the makers within to fathom what lies through-out one's life path at present and going forward. In the beginning of his songwriting the first album title 'Truth Above Skin' was the conceptual thesis in which Anthony related his inner emotional expressions to those of the songs he had begin to write and latter conceptions. 'Songs Of Time', the second album title to open a gate way to Anthony's next songwriting was founded during the middle of the writing of 'Truth Above Skin' in the last two months of 2010. 'Songs Of Time' purposes in writing and music was to have an 'open sight' of life's moments, and movements in a reflective 'present' and mind 'memorial' that each song could signify particular images to encapsulate time in feelings and a transcendental sense, and 'being in' the moment. Continuing to seek an outlet for more self expression through songwriting and the sense of fateful growth to be found, Anthony desired to conceive a third album and then found the inspiration in a new song's opening lyric, "black and white dress red hair" which went on to be the song 'Beauty Of Black And White' and the new album's title. The album was meant to have an expansive collective of moods and subjects to resemble the ambition of the album and the meaning of the title, in which is about highlighting the dual nature found through-out life and consisting in interests of contrasting objectives and paradox like statements in art.
