Formed in January 2009, Nothing's Carved in Stone (NCIS for short) arose out of the band Ellegarden: when the band went on hiatus in 2008, guitarist Ubukata Shin'ichi branched out on a solo project which eventually became NCIS.
Their most recent album, Revolt, came out in 2013 and the current lineup consists of Shin'ichi on guitar and backing vocals, Ōkita Takanori on drums, Muramatsu Taku on guitar and lead vocals and Hinata Hidekazu on bass.
Their song Out of Control was used as the second theme of the anime Psycho-Pass
